Erin LaHood
Hi! I’m Erin: lover of dogs, 1970s music, nature, whimsy, and genuine human connection. I almost always say yes to leafy greens, but I’m a girl who understands that the occasional slices of pizza or glass of wine with friends can be just as good for the soul as blueberries and Brussels sprouts are for the gut. The word balance gets tossed around a lot, but for me, it means so much more than just the food on your plate or your step count. It’s all the pieces that add up to a truly fulfilling, flourishing life.
As someone who’s never known what it’s like to have a glorious fast metabolism, I am familiar with a fluctuating waistline and the self-imprisonment of comparison, inadequacy, and confusion when it comes to weight, well-being, and body image. My body– and life– changed for the better when I vowed not to do another restrictive diet (which only ever resulted in rebound weight gain), when I let go of shame, and my attention instead turned to holistic health: body, mind, soul— led by self-love and acceptance.
I have ten years of experience working as a registered nurse on medical-surgical floors in several cities across the nation, which means there’s not much I haven’t seen— I know what our healthcare system does well, and what it doesn’t. I’m also fueled by a disdain for the standard American food and diet industries, and I aim to help others realize we’ve made this way too hard on ourselves. It is possible to break free from the pressure, mental turmoil, and feeling chronically unwell. And I want to help get you there.
I am committed to shifting the paradigm of healthcare from reactive to proactive, empowering individuals to take control of their own health through education, evidence-based nutrition, and holistic wellness practices. I am committed to bridging the gap between traditional medical practices and comprehensive lifestyle interventions, by advocating for personalized care that addresses root causes rather than just symptoms. I want to help my clients redefine health as not merely the absence of disease, but the proactive pursuit of vitality and well-being.
